Predictions 2019: Virgo

194px-Virgo.svgVirgo (for those born Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Children of Mercury know just how to get ’er done. It’s a trait that Virgos share with other earth signs, but the difference is they accomplish the impossible rather “handily,” and with minimal fanfare, after sifting through complex minutiae and scenarios. Content to pull off miracles behind the scenes, these mutable perfectionists like nothing more than helping others avert catastrophes and close calls.

So how did someone of your buttoned-down persuasion become so enamored of recluses, dreamers and ne’er-do-wells hellbent on escaping reality?

It hasn’t been easy doing all the “adulting” while others close to you have come to rely on your practical magic and organizational skills for them to show up in the world. You are one who makes sure they eat a healthy meal, get to their doctor’s appointments and wear clean (and matching) socks. Co-dependent much? Nah, it’s just that you find it impossible to leave these poor souls in their hour of need. But somehow that hour of need has gone on for seven years!

That’s when the planet Neptune entered Pisces (the sign opposite yours that signifies partnerships). This slow-moving planet is only about halfway through its journey in the underdog-loving water sign of Pisces. Neptune was joined by the asteroid Chiron, aka “the wounded healer,” which might account for the chronic health challenges and pain management needed by those closest to you.

Are you happy about what they have come to expect from you? In a word: absolutely, utterly, hell no! You might be the most enlightened soul on the planet, oozing with rational, insightful words for those seeking your practical wisdom. But in private conversations with yourself, you can’t help but ask yourself: Why are you taking care of such ingrates?

The story of Virgo is that it’s often difficult to be in relationship. You’re exacting, fussy and a stickler. And, despite your modesty, you do hope to be appreciated (or at least acknowledged) for what you do. Those high standards might have many a partner heading for the hills. [Continued at RulingPlanets.com]

Predictions 2019: Gemini

229px-Gemini.svgGemini (those born May 21-June 20):  As a child of Mercury, you have long been accustomed to the dance of survival. Like an expert fencer, you swoop and swing when you’ve got a shot; otherwise you stay light on your feet and prance away from glancing blows until you can land a hit.

But 2019 will stand out as the year when instead prancing around for your own survival, you are prancing around, possibly engaged in a two-step with a true, blue partner. Yes, Gemini, this could be a year when you will feel you’ve met your match.

In a world where you often feel precariously solo, this is the year for you to catch a break. Whether in business or in marriage, there is somehow so much more of what you have longed for: backing and support, love and admiration, perspective, increased opportunities, mutual benefit, conversation and above all: a sense of humor.

With Jupiter traveling through its own sign of Sagittarius in 2019 in your solar house of marriage, it bodes well for all things related to coupling. But keep in mind, this is the sign opposite of yours and it is your partner, not you, who is broadcasting all the good vibes from Jupiter. But you’ve no doubt heard it said that a rising tide lifts all boats, so if your dingy is tied up to your partner’s yacht, then expect to be elevated during 2019.

But let’s talk about your partner. This person may seem the perfect match and might well be, but first you’ll need to take off the rose-colored glasses to see the relationship clearly. You, Child of Mercury, deal in the here and the now, in the finiteness of the present, armed with all the facts you think relevant to the situation at hand.

Your partner is far more aspirational and hopeful and lives in the promise of all that is out there. Because your partner is not limited by the myopia of the moment, she or he is able to assess future trends and get in position for opportunities that are down the road a bit. Gemini is many things but not what you’d call a long-range thinker, so the two of you could butt heads about the appropriate course of action, but you both have good points to make.  [Continued at RulingPlanets.com]
