Predictions 2019: Aquarius

350px-Aquarius.svgAquarius (for those born Jan. 20-Feb. 18): It’s 2019, and the Aquarians are all right. Except there is that pesky co-ruler of yours, Uranus, dancing around in your solar third house, activating your brain at all hours of the day and night, giving you restless leg syndrome and making you a bit of an insomniac. But otherwise, it’s all good, right?

Well, and then there’s Neptune in Pisces in your solar second house of money, which may be why you’ve become such a sob-story magnet lately. Your financial advisor keeps telling you that your compassion is writing checks that your body can’t cash. But that’s OK, you’ll just earn more money somehow.

Oh, yeah, there’s also your other co-ruler, Saturn, who’s been dawdling, since late 2017, in Capricorn, the earth sign he rules, in your solar 12th house. Some dare say that Saturn is in his joy there, but does that word describe how you feel? With all the suffering on the planet, and in the lives of those you truly care about, has joy become a three-letter word?

You excel in rising out of challenging circumstances but you’re suddenly aware of a grittiness and grimness to life that you’ve somehow managed to steer clear of up until now. You have a knack for succeeding, creating a nice home, garnering a solid paycheck and scooping up professional accolades, but you lately may be suffering from an “imposter syndrome”—pangs of guilt at the successes you’ve celebrated. Perhaps you worry you didn’t come by your promotion or accomplishments honestly. After all, it may have been a group effort, but you got all the credit for it. Or the effort looked hard but it was actually easy to achieve.

Since late 2017, you may feel like you’re being tailed by ghosts. It’s a spooky feeling. And you just can’t put your finger on the cause.

You’ll have some help this year learning how to navigate this perilous territory in the form of four eclipses that involve your solar 12th house. While eclipses aren’t really helpful by nature, their effects tend to cause enough upset and disorientation that you may be forced to rely upon your intuition, which is a gift unto itself. . Predictions 2019: Capricorn

246px-Capricorn.svgCapricorn (for those born Dec. 22-Jan. 19):  As the Western world celebrates New Year’s each January 1, many make resolutions to work harder to lose weight, to get up earlier and go to the gym, to get organized and accomplish long-term goals, etc. It happens to be when the Sun is traveling through the sign of Capricorn.

By contrast, many Asian countries celebrate their lunar new year five weeks later by taking a week off from work. They party day and night with extended family, honor their ancestors, feast on rich foods that attract good luck and generously give money in little red envelopes to children. What a difference a month (and a new sign) makes.

These two approaches symbolize the strong themes in your life right now. On one hand, you are driven to produce and accomplish; on the other, you wish you could savor and celebrate the connections with those you love. But with an eclipse (and five planets) in your sign on January 5, the crush of work obligations makes it nigh impossible for you to divert your eyes from what all the balls you have in the air to while away an afternoon with a friend or loved one.

You’re not obligated to carry this heavy load, but you took it because in your heart of hearts, you know that no one else can get it done, correctly and on time, like you do. And it’s a true statement, because you have been at this for some time. But then you start fretting about deadlines, the people who are depending on you, the fact that you are spread so thin, and soon your fears and worries take on Godzilla proportions. It’s all you can do to try to beat them down with your ever-present scythe.

When you’re feeling like this, your inner Mother Teresa is just not going to show up and tend to a needy loved one, even if that’s the true path to sanity for you at this time.

You’ve always been a workaholic to some degree, but why are things harder now? In December 2017, Saturn entered the sign of Capricorn, the cardinal earth sign that it rules, and the sign where it will remain until March 2020. After 25-plus years of being a generally unappreciated guest in other signs (let’s face it, Saturn can be a buzzkill), the ringed planet is now large and in charge of your solar first house where he can do as he pleases, which, from your perspective, appears to be unleashing a seven-headed wild beast into your life. [Continued at RulingPlanets.com]

Predictions 2019: Leo

184px-Leo.svgLeo (for those born July 23-Aug. 22): For many a child of the Sun, the years 2017-18 might have been among the most life-altering in recent memory. Those changes, however, may not have registered with you. They could have flown right over your crown.

Not only did Leos experience the spiritual lessons of a “fateful” nodal return in their sign from May 2017 through November 2018, but both years featured a succession of five eclipses in Leo. As eclipses always involve the Sun (Leo’s ruling planet), children of the Sun are wise to pay heed to them.

From the eclipses of 2017—on Aug. 7 and Aug. 21 (the Great American eclipse)—to those of 2018, on Jan. 31, July 27 and Aug. 11—you may have sensed unsettled feelings in your partnerships. You may have even sensed that you were being manipulated or controlled by others close to you, but when you tried to prove it, you could find no evidence. You could see how other people were dealing with similar relationship challenges but felt you were immune to being a victim of gaslighting.

This is because eclipses, especially those in our own sign, create a blind spot or shadow. We find ourselves in the dark about certain things and often are not told “the emperor has no clothes” when it would have been nice to know it! Eclipses make it difficult to see very far down the road, and therefore we can’t gauge what is occurring sometimes until months and even years have passed. So, we tread carefully and feel our way through these periods of time.

Your relationship may have been feeling like one big question mark. You stay together because it is the path of least resistance, not necessarily because you see a future for yourself as a couple. Leos love being in love and all the grand gestures that go with it, but what is that for at the end of the day? Believe it or not, to be fulfilled, most Leos seek a line of succession, a “royal heir,” and that’s where your focus wants to be right now: on children.  [Continued at RulingPlanets.com]
